Not Happy

"I bought this a year ago and only occasionally use it to trim. It has always run rough and sounds like it is farting when fully squeezing the trigger. Seems to be underpowered when fully openning the throttle. It runs better at 3/4 throttle. The vibration makes my arms numb after 10 minutes. The neighbor's other brand does not vibrate so much. Last year I called for help and was told to run it more to break in. I have and still dislike it. I do not have to mix the gas. I always drain the gas after each use so that I am using fresh gas. My neighbor suggested it."

"Starts easy, but head has come apart after, 45 minutes of trimming! My last trimmer lasted 15 years, but it was a differant brand."

What a waste

"Received this trimmer on Father's Day. On the 2nd day of use the head came apart. I thought, okay, put the head back together. No, the spring from the head is still missing. Returned it to the store only to see the customer in front of me returning the SAME MODEL for the SAME PROBLEM. Definitely a problem Troy-Bilt needs to address."

"I got this unit laast year and it was nice this year however it was hard to start as the clutch went out and the trimer head stoped moving so i took it to a service dealer and was told that the parts are on back order so no don't get this one if no parts are made you can not get it fixed."
