DO NOT BUY !!!! Date: August 13, 2010
"The cutting head is junk. The string spins out of the cutting head too easily, requiring you to spool more string on frequently. Disassembling and reassembling cutting head is difficult. This was a waste of money. Wish I would have read these reviews first, and bought another product. What a bummer."

String does not feed Date: July 17, 2010
"I had no trouble starting this machine. Very easy to start in fact with or without the Press to Start and it has a strong motor. But the string feed head is a disaster. Very hard to take apart and then it takes two people to put it back on the machine. This is the most frustrating weed trimmer I have ever owned. With all of its available attachments, I thought this would be the last trimmer I would ever have to buy. Very disappointed."

Not a smart investment Date: July 4, 2010
"My old trimmer had worn out after 10 years and I decided to upgrade to a 4 cycle. Power unit is fine, but cumbersome to start - push bulb 10 times, pull starter 10 times, move setting, start, wait 60 seconds, move setting and use. The string cutter is trash. Locking button broke on first use. String gets caught in the head and will not feed, difficult to disassemble, parts are easly lost, now the cutting head gear box will not turn. Luckily my old trimmer still works!"

Engine good, attachment poor Date: June 6, 2010
"I required a new trimmer as my ( ten year ) old motor gasped it's last. Essentially I just needed a new power plant but since it is sold as a set I decided on the TB539 ES. The engine worked fine, however the trimmer head has much to be desired. I had to stop 5 times in 15 minutes because one side of the head would loose the string inside where the other side still had 3 or more inches sticking out. This of course mandated that I take the head apart to fish out the lost string. Although it is supposedly a straight forward process, the physical head dis-assembly / reassembly was much more difficult than it should have been. After the fifth stoppage I felt I had given it enough of a chance and dug out my old attachment and ran through an entire load of string without mishap."
