"I broke down and finally bought a snow thrower, and this was the right choice. I took care of my house and four neighbors with ease. It starts right up with both the electric and manual starter. It was easy to direct the snow out of the way by directing the chute to where you wanted it to go. It worked well with both light snow of 10 inches and wet heavy snow of 6 inches. My back and I are glad we made this choice."

Great Product
"Fourteen inches of wet snow was easily moved by the Storm 2410 in February 2011. The engine starts easily and operates superbly. The six forward and two reverse speeds adequately move the snow thrower. The unit is easy to use but an operator needs physical stamina because of its size and weight. A hand crank height adjustment would be helpful when proceeding from a gravel roadway to asphalt or concrete and vice versa."
"This is a decent blower and moves most snow well, with the exception wet snow as the chute clogs pretty easily. Recoil snapped second winter of use. Plastic stops for the gear lever broke first and second winter. Overall it is a decent blower with decent power, except in heavier wetter snows and a bit too much plastic. Next winter I will need to upgrade because of added driveway and I will probably go with a larger Troy-Bilt."
"I purchased 2 yr old T-Bilt snow thrower (24" 5.5hp) from a neighbor moving South. It is easy-starting, powerful and has user-friendly controls. It is not as easy to manuver as my old Toro S-620, but it throws snow over the banks far better. We live on the shores of Lake Michigan in WI so lake effect snow is common. We had a light 10" lake effect snow the day I bought it and it has been going strong since. Buy one, you'll be glad you did!"
"When I purchased the snowblower, the left tire had low air pressure. I filled it with air and within 3 days it was low again. Took the tire to a local shop where they tightened the valve in the stem and filled it with air. I put the left wheel back on and used the machine for about 1 hour and the right tire went flat. It starts very well and does the job, but when the tires are flat, you can't use it at all. Are solid rubber wheels an option?"
"quickly assembles, just add gas (don't forget stabilizer -recommended), started right up out of the box, easy maneuverability considering its a two stage, did not have any problems with the wet and heavy eastern snow storm that hit new york today. it is reasonably priced, and if you are looking for something that point blank just does the job without the bells and whistles, look no further. this machine has plenty of power for the average user."

A great snow throwing machine
"I bought this bad boy the day after christmas and it was the smartest buy i have made this year. We had 28 inches in 24 hours. My neighbor has an 8.5 horse 30 inch blower from another manufacturer and my new troy bilt kept right up with his machine where the county berms up our driveways. I have used it five times since and it starts on the first pull with the choke and a couple pumps of the primer and to top it off its easy on the fuel usage also."
"Used this for the first time on 14" of very wet spring snow in the Rocky Mtns. and I was really impressed! This fine machine threw the wet snow 8 feet and never hesitated. My neighbors were impressed and wished they had a snowthrower that worked in these conditions - I told them to buy a Troy-Bilt. Mine was a present from my family and they chose very wisely in buying this Troy-Bilt. Thanks for a great product and helping save my back from not having to shovel!"
"I purchased this product after the 1st snow storm in Dec 09 (Wash DC area). Since then, we've had multiple storms and this product was absolutely wonderful in moving a massive amount of snow. The set-up was easy, and the controls are so simple that both my wife and daughter loved using it. I also loved the fact that is uses regular gas...no mixing. If you are on the edge about getting a blower and cannot decide...don't be...this is a great product. Save your back!"
"Bought this machine 3 days ago and have already used it 4 times on 2 driveways and it out performed all my expectations starts easy either manual or electric start had no problems with heavy wet snow or light snow I would recommend this to anyone. The only complaint I have is that you have to either stop the auger or forward motion to change direction of the chute. It would be nice if the auger handle had a lock on it so you could take your hand off to change the chute."
"I bought this November of this year and have already gotten my money's worth. Cuts through the heavy wet stuff as well as the bottom driveway crud left by Mr. Snowplow. Starts on the first turn every time- mind you I have used it 8 times already. Shear Pin replacement is easy and as far as ease of use- both my 16 year old son (who fights me to use it) and my wife have had no issues when they have had to use it when I am out of town. Aces across the board for this beast!"
"Got this machine 2 weeks ago and then we got hit with 15 inches of snow the other night. Man, was I glad I had it! Just added gas, hit the button and I was off to the races! This cut through everything I needed it to. yet it wasn't so big that it was rediculous to handle or store, being I am a little tight on space. I did my driveway, back yard and was able to help a couple of neighbors out as well. We're expecting more record breaking snowfall next week, and I know I'll be ready!"
"Moved to New England and bought this model in 2009. The first two years, I thought it was a bit "overkill" for my small driveway. In 2011, with record snow falls I watched my neighbors struggle with smaller, non-self propelled machines. I've had no problems clearing my driveway, sidewalk, helping neighbors, and even clearing our private street when the snow plows seemed to forget.
I've been extraordinarily satisfied with this model...dependable, easy to start, quickly cuts through 12" snowfall with ease!"
"Just bought the storm 2410 and this is the first snow thrower that I have purchased. I am very pleased with it. It started on the very first pull and made clearing the 28 to 30 inches a breeze. I would recommend this so far to anybody, I am sure that when we get our normal 8 to 12 inches that it will handle it with no problems. I found that once you cut a path that is 24 inches wide your next path should be around 12 inches when the snow is this deep. This snow thrower is excellent and will handle anything that we get in Maryland"
"I own a lawn care and snow removal company located in wisconsin next to lake michigan. I purchased this snowblower as a back up of a back up blower. This blower starts easily, idles good, nice nobby tires. The downfalls: Self propell is kinda slow for the 6 speed, Blower works good for 6 inches or less of snow. Auger does not spin fast enough to shoot out heavy snow. the snow piles up in front of the blower. It's neat to hear the overdrive kick in, works excellent in about 4 inches in 6th speed. Great for home use shoots snow about 10-15 feet."
"First the good news. This machine starts very well. In even very cold temperatures, it starts on the first pull. Fantastic. Then the bad news. This machine doesn't blow snow. As soon as any snow is encountered, the augur and impeller slow way down (or even stop) and the snow barely dribbles out of the chute. This started to happen on the second time that I used the machine. (This first snow fall was only an inch and it worked okay on that.) Seems that the belt may be bad - okay but shouldn't a brand new belt last more that one small snow fall?"
"This thing is a piece of garbage! I've had it for approx 3 years and it has never run right. It has no problem starting however will not run for more than 10-15 seconds. I've already had the carb re-built after the first season and it was NOT covered under warranty. I am mechanically inclined so I know how to operate and maintain machinery. I winterized according to the directions and still wouldn't work. I am having the carb re-built again and for the last time. My father-in-law has the same unit and has similar problems. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!"

GREAT MACHINE
"MY FIRST WINTER IN OHIO'S SNOW BELT AND WE DIDNT GET ALOT OF SNOW BUT WHEN IT DID MY TROY BUILT SNOW THROWER WAS READY AND DID A GREAT JOB! EASY TO USE, EASY TO START I DID HAVE TO USE THE ELECTRIC START TWICE. I HAVE A LONG DRIVEWAY AND IT DOESNT HESITATE OR ANYTHING. GET GREAT TRACTION WITH THE TIRES KEEP IT LOW GEAR IT I HAVE NO PROBLEMS. I THINK THE ONLY THING I COULD COMPLAIN ABOUT IS THAT DARN PLASTIC CHUTE! WHY NOT MAKE IT STEEL? THE REST OF YOUR PRODUCT IS BUILT SO WELL WHY NOT THE CHUTE?. OH YEAH ALL MY NEIGHBORS LOVE IT TO CAUSE I DO THERE DRIVEWAYS ALSO."

Excellent Choice!
"I live in the central New York "Snow Belt" and we often get a foot or more snow at a time. The day I brought the 2410 home, I had 18" waiting for me to clean up. My driveway is about 30 feet by 10 feet and the 2410 made quick work of it. I took it out back to clear some paths for the dogs to run and again, not a problem. The only complaint (as I see has been listen before) is the upper chute needed to be replaced (at an excellent price!) because a medium sized rock made it's way into my path.
This is my 3rd year with the 2410 and my neighbors are all still as jealous as they were the very first week!"
"Just bought this yesterday after getting our first heavy snow of the season here in Colorado. This thing tears through the snow like no other. I have a rather long sidewalk and a standard sized driveway this thing will have the whole job done in about 30 mins. It would probably be less than that but I usually end up walking with it up the sidewalk quite a ways doing the neighboors walks as well. Only problem I have is it sliding off the side walk but thats not it's fault there was just too much snow and I couldn't tell where the walk ended at. I would recommend this to anyone yes it was expensive but it was money well spent."
